MOHAIR (100 %) STRAIGHT CINCH – 17 Strand – 3 Colours
*** PLEASE NOTE ***
Turnaround time for standard cinches is currently 4 – 6 weeks.
Orders will be processed in order of receipt.
Rush fees apply to orders that are needed sooner. Your order will then “jump” the queue.
This customised, traditional Western-Style Mohair Cinch is made here in Queensland using 100 % natural Mohair, also sourced from a Queensland producer.
It comes standard with :
~ 3 Colours
~ 2 x 3” flat buckles
~ 2 x 1” centre Dees
The strings that make up a cord girth can move and act independently of one another for better fit and saddle stability. Space between the strands creates airflow, allowing sweat to dry.
Mohair is made from the fleece of Angora goats and is prized for its softness, strength and durability.
PRICE
The base price for a straight cinch with any 3 colours (base, detail, outlines) and stainless steel hardware is $160.
Additional colour and/or detail work adds to the base price.
SIZE / LENGTH – 28” – 36”
Please measure buckle tip to buckle tip on your current cinch. The cinch will “give” to the length you need. If you order a 32” cinch, it will come off the frame a little shorter, but will “give” to 32” when you cinch it up.
Please contact me, if you require a smaller or larger cinch.
PATTERNS
(1) PATTERN 1

Please contact me, if you would like a different design, and we can work something out.
COLOURS
Please choose your colours for the BODY, DETAILS and OUTLINING AROUND DETAILS from the colour chart in photos.
CINCH TYPES
Due to the newness of this product, we are currently only offering Single Layer Straight Cinches.
However, Roper (flared) and Cutter (double layer straight) cinches are on our list of things to add!
MOHAIR CINCH CARE
Most of the time, a basic rinse in a bucket of water, and running a hose over it, will loosen the sweat and dirt enough to easily wash away. You can use a small amount of horse shampoo or a gentle soap, such as Woolite.
Lay flat or hang to dry out of direct sunlight.
If you notice parts that are getting hard or crunchy, even just brushing it will often work most of the dirt free, without even needing to use water.
Wash only if required. If the side against the horse is free of debris and is still soft and pliable, it doesn’t need to be washed.
DO NOT Powerwash /use a washing machine /use hot water /remove the felted-in hair as it acts as extra padding for the horse
I use only high quality US Paracord, which is made of 100% Nylon, mould resistant and won’t rot. It is extremely strong and has a breaking strain of about 250 kg.
Paracord can be washed in luke warm water by hand or in the washing machine.
